Catholic Animism? Priest and Deacon of Archdiocese Adore Earth Mother "Rocks"

Thou Shalt Have no Other Gods Before Me

Edit: this is a continuation of videos documenting some liturgical abuses and occult rituals on Holy Saturday in 2012 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   The Archdiocese is well aware this has been going on for years and has not done anything about it.  These sorts of abuses happen there every week.

In this video, a priest and deacon in good standing with the Archdiocese, engage in occult pagan rituals.   The rocks here being blessed  by Deacon Joseph Damiani and Father Michael Tegeder, are in the animistic American Indian parlance, "grandmothers" or "grandfathers", depending in some cases on the gender of the person idolizing them. They are said to be the bones of the "Earth Mother" and are heated up by fire for the use in sweat lodges and accompanying spirit journeys.

These pagan rituals are justified by appealing to "inculturation", but how these practices are justified to be imposed on a Catholic Mass as is the case here, is impossible to imagine.  It looks a lot more like a violation of the First and Second Commandments.

It's such a relief that they're in good standing with the Archdiocese!

Pope Francis Unexpectedly Meets Franciscans of the Immaculate

Edit: one might say providentially.  See Rorate report too.
(Rome) A surprising encounter witnessed Pope Francis last 6 April. This Sunday he attended the  Roman city parish of San Gregorio Magno in the suburbs Magliana and came across the Franciscans of the Immaculate, whose until recently blossoming order's suppression has been overshadowed by the Argentine pontificate.
The Salus Populi Romani icon  is particularly dear to Pope Francis. On the morning after his election, he left the   the Vatican unannounced to head down to the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and to venerate the Mother of God before the holy image.

Pope Given a Copy of the Icon of Mary Salus Populi Romani

Pope Francis is expected but certainly not  an exact  copy of the miraculous image he'd been given last Sunday. At the end of  Holy Mass in the Magliana, the Pope was presented with a copy of the icon. Still less did the Church leader expect  to encounter in his parish visit  the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate Conception,or at least the family of Father Stefano Maria Manelli, the founder of   this extraordinary order, that was like  a beacon of hope in the Catholic religious landscape of the West until the summer of the previous year. Since then, the Order has experienced dark times.

Family of Founder Manelli Presented to the Pope

After the Holy Mass members of the Manelli family most notably  the couple Pio and Anna Maria Manelli,  presented the Pope the icon in memory of the parents or grandparents Settimio and Licia Manelli.  Settimio (1886-1978) and Licia Manelli (1907-2004) are the parents of 21 children. A son, Father Stefano Maria Manelli,  is the founder of the religious family of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, he was the Superior General  until the summer of 2013.  His younger brother Pio, named after Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, who was the spiritual father of his parents, lives with his large family in the parish which Pope Francis visited. Pio and Anna Maria Manelli have nine children. Six of them belong to the Order founded by her uncle Stefano Maria. Two sons are in the Franciscans of the Immaculate, four daughters Franciscans of the Immaculate. The parents or grandparents Settimio and Licia Manelli were recognized by the Church as a servants of God. Their beatification process is underway.
The Manelli family is firmly rooted in the Roman suburban parish, which the Pope visited. Last  October 30th    Father Stefano Manelli offered a Mass of Thanksgiving for his ordination 58 years ago in the parish church of San Gregorio Magno along with many brothers and sisters of his Order. It was a celebration that had to be expressly approved by the Apostolic Commissioner, Father Fidenzio Volpi.   After the dismissal of Father Manelli as Superior General and the entire Order.   Line Father Volpi was used by the Congregation of Religious as a delegate of the Holy See. He has since been alone under the management of the whole Order.

Traditional Rite and Love of Tradition Were Young Religious  Order's Undoing

The radical intervention against  the flowering,  pastorally bi-ritual, with the old rite internally within the Order with a strong inclination to the Catholic tradition,  is a central feature of the current pontificate.  The  current  prohibition against celebrating the traditional rite and to be able to act according to  tradition, was has disturbed its relationship with the reigning Pope  in the Order promoted  by Pope Benedict  with the benevolence of the Church.
It is still unclear why the young religious with many vocations were placed under provisional administration. The Congregation of Religious clearly despised  the Order for  the sole reason because it had changed from the new rite to the old rite,  and unlike most religious in the West could attract many vocations.

Daughter in Law of the Servant of God Painted Icon for the Pope

It was the parish priest of San Gregorio Magno,   who presented  the family Manelli to the Pope  and drew attention to the servants of God Settimio and Licia Manelli.  Literally,  he said  when he introduced  Pio and Anna Maria Manelli: "Having a large family in the parish, is a special gift nowadays. In addition, this family has produced many priests and religious. A blessing that should not remain hidden."
Anna Maria Manelli, the daughter in law of the Servant of God and sister in law of the Founder of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, had made the copy of the icon of Mary herself. Together with her husband,  Pio,  she handed the Pope a copy of the icon Salus Populi Romani.

Appeal  to  the Pope to Get  the Order of St. Francis of Immaculate  "out From the Crypt"

In  the ensuing  personal conversation they begged Pope Francis, if  the Franciscans of the Immaculate could again be "taken  from the crypt", to which the Order has been exiled by the actions of the Congregation of Religious. It was an allusion to the preaching of the Pope, who had previously spoken in his Homily on the Raising of Lazarus from the dead, the Lord commanded, rise out of the grave.

"Soon, Soon"

Pope Francis smiled visibly surprised at the unexpected confrontation with the question of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, patted the hands of the couple in thanks for the icon, and  the cheek of the icon painter and said, "Soon, soon".
"What exactly this 'soon' means, one does not know," said Sandro Magister the Vaticanist.  At least the most optimistic now hope for an early and peaceful end to the provisional administration of the Order.

Is Catholic Teaching Tolerated in Charlotte or Not? Blameless Dominican Sister Put on Indefinite Leave for Doing Her Job

Edit: Imagine if St. Paul had been put on indefinite leave by St. Peter in the light of this:

Romans 1:26-27: For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones,  and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Although Sister Jane Dominic Laurel has received some belated support from the Diocese of Charlotte,  it should not be forgotten that the Diocese was eager to apologize for her to the professionally orchestrated campaign against her rather tame remarks.  Despite this, she is still being sent on an indefinite sabbatical.  Must the approval of the wicked be sought after too?  Here is Diocesan PR man kowtowing to the consensus:
Diocese spokesman David Hains acknowledged after the meeting that the Rev. Matthew Kauth, the school’s chaplain, apologized to the parents for a March 21 speech by Sister Jane Dominic Laurel that was not the one he expected her to give.
Hains also said the high school committed to developing new policies that would better scrutinize visiting speakers in the future. He said the school also wants to do a better job of communicating with parents ahead of time when such speeches will deal with sensitive subjects such as sexuality. “Parents should have been better informed,” Hains said.
During her speech, Laurel quoted studies that said gays and lesbians are not born with same-sex attractions, and that children in single-parent homes have a greater chance of becoming homosexual, Hains and others said. Diocese spokesman David Hains acknowledged after the meeting that the Rev. Matthew Kauth, the school’s chaplain, apologized to the parents for a March 21 speech by Sister Jane Dominic Laurel that was not the one he expected her to give.

Now Lifesite News is telling us that Sister is being "supported" by the Diocese.  Looks like the Diocese wants to please everyone here.  Maybe two masters can be served?

"Conservatives" Virtually Silent as Faithful Hound of God Arrested in the Vineyard of the Lord

Edit: you shouldn't have to wonder when a decision is made, whether or not it's being made with any justice, or even concern for Catholic teaching.  In response to a nun's frank discussion about Catholic moral teaching, some people complained, and rather than ignore them, the local bishop has decided to silence her instead, to silence the words of God Himsel and the teachings of His Church.

Sometimes, oftentimes, Catholic hierarchic, like the wicked steward in the Gospels, murder God's messengers, while turning a blind eye to and even praising those who are material supports to the crime of infanticide.

The good are being thrown under a bus.

Rorate Caeli also said it. A religious sister of the conservative Nashville Dominicans is thrown under the bus by her superior and low and behold, there's total silence on the part of "conservative" Catholics as she's degraded and maligned not only by the world, but by her superior in religion.  Maybe they're too busy praising Aronofsky's cinematic disfigurement of the Noah story from the Bible?
[Charlotte, NC] A Dominican nun from Aquinas College outraged students at a North Carolina high school after making anti-gay remarks.
Sister Jane Dominic Laurel, assistant professor of theology and member of the Saint Cecilia Congregation of Dominican Sisters of Nashville, Tenn., spoke during a student assembly at Charlotte Catholic High School on March 21 where students said she criticized gays and lesbians in addition to making subversive comments about single and divorced parents.
Some teachers even left the assembly in tears, the Charlotte Observer reported.
Meanwhile, a Catholic college which might have helped remedy some of this confusion is about to close.

New Adoption Privileges for Aberrosexual Females in Holland

(Amsterdam) The Netherlands is expanding the possibility to form various forms of "family" by extending the right to adopt children.   This will make it easier to set up a "family".  The special right of aberrosexual females for the adoption of children has now been acknowledged, says  the Dutch news agency ANP on the 1st of April, but not as an April Fool's joke.  In the Netherlands, new regulations have come into force with which lesbians are privileged. They allow lesbians to adopt the children of their partner in  a special process.
The revision allows both women in a sexual relationship can now be officially called "parents" of children recognize the need to go through without a normal, lengthy and costly adoption process. The same rule does not apply to aberrosexual men, as    the exercise of parental rights of women take priority and can not be transferred to third parties.
The Dutch aberro organization Cultuur en Ontspanningscentrum (COC) adopted the new regulation  enthusiastically. It speaks of a "revolutionary action" and stated that twenty aberro female couples  are said to have immediately made use of the first day into force.
The Netherlands was the first country in 2001, which enacted a law on the equality of aberrosexual couples with civil marriage, and equal rights and obligations of heterosexual couples extended to aberrosexual couples, including the right to adopt children. The amendment to the privileged adoption process for aberrosexual females  is a further success of the militant LGBT lobby. However, it is also opens up another step towards the moral abyss that in the name of ideological slogan "family for all".

Rome's Conduct With Traditional Communities -- Society of St. Peter and Franciscans of the Immaculata

(Rome)  The conduct of Rome with traditional communities is completely varied.   A significant aspect of this whether one  is under an Order or the Institute. What difference does it matter whether it's an Old Ritual community of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei established in 1988, or religious congregation, depends on a comparison of the visitations of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate Conception and the Fraternity of St. Peter. In the North American District of the Fraternity of St. Peter, a proper Apostolic Visitation will be held. The routine operation has been arranged by the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, to which the Society belongs. As Rorate Caeli reported, a three-member visitor delegation  was appointed. The main visitor is Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur, co-visitators are Abbot Hervé Courau from the Benedictine Abbey of Notre-Dame de Triors in France and the Bishop Emeritus Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln in the United States.

Huonder Bishop, Bishop Bruskewitz and Abbot Courau as Visitors

Both Bishop Huonder  and Bishop Bruskewitz are  closely linked to the FSSP. They  have already presided over ordinations of the Society more than once and have celebrated in the old rite.  Bishop Huonder established the first traditional parish in the German-speaking world the and appointed a  Society of St. Peter priest as  the pastor. In the diocese of Lincoln, the Society erected their seminary in 1994 during the episcopate of Bishop Bruskewitz (1992-2012) in North America. Abott Courau heads  a traditional  Benedictine abbey in France. Notre-Dame de Triors is a subsidiary foundation Fontgombault. Abbot Courau visited the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz near Vienna in the Autumn of 2013, where he celebrated in the traditional rite with the monks of the monastery who served at the altar.
In the case of the Fraternity of St. Peter it is an ordinary visitation. When the Franciscans of the Immaculate Conception extraordinary visitation was arranged in 2012 by the Congregation of Religious, is where the differences in treatment begin. The Fraternity of St. Peter is under the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei for Orders and Communities of the Old Rite. The appointed visitators are connected to the traditional rite. The starting point of the visit is supported by brotherly love and basically benevolent, as expected by the canon law.

Hostile Attitude of the Congregation of Religious Against Franciscans of the Immaculate

The situation was quite different with the Franciscans of the Immaculate. They are under the Congregation for Religious  because they were established in 1990 as  new rite Order. Following a gradual development under Pope Benedict XVI they had returned to the Immemorial Rite. The Congregation of Religious appointed a Visitor with Monsignor Vito Angelo Todisco   who was openly hostile to  the Order. He himself had briefly belonged to the Order at a young age, but  had left and since repeatedly remarked disparagingly upon the Franciscan community of Father Stefano Maria Manelli. The basic intention of the Congregation of Religious was obviously directed from a bias in the very beginning  against the Order.  They culminated after July 2013, since with  the abdication of Benedict XVI,  the biggest obstacle had been removed to a radical intervention and the provisional administration of the Order. The Apostolic Commissioner, the Capuchin Fidenzio Volpi has since been working systematically towards the eradication of the traditional charism of the Order, to beat it back into a new ritual Order and thus to be "normalized".
The Franciscans of the Immaculate sought contact with the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, but they were not under it. The request, in the fall of last year, the request to establish a new old ritual Order under the supervision of Ecclesia Dei after the establishment of the provisional administration and the banning of the old rite was not previously considered by the Congregation of Religious. The open revelation of these brothers  was followed instead by the Commissar making more purges.
"Keep all  institutes  and communities of Ecclesia Dei in your prayers"  this call ends Rorate Caeli the report on the appointment of the Visitors of the Fraternity of St. Peter.

"Prayed Rosary With the Chains" -- Nguyen Huu Cau Freed After 40 Years in Prison

(Saigon) Persecuted by the communist regime, he used the chains that robbed him of   freedom to pray the rosary. Nguyen Huu Cau converted to Christ in prison. A few days ago he was released after more than 37 years in prison and a prison camp. "In 1986, I was baptized at the Easter Vigil by the Jesuit Joseph Nguyen". Cau described in an interview with Catholic News the hard fate of Vietnamese Catholics. The Jesuit priest was the one who told him about Christ in custody   and taught him the catechism. Since then, "I have prayed the Rosary every day seven times  and Stations of the Cross five times," said Nguyen Huu Cau-.
After futile attempts reeducation, Cau was released  last 22 March. 32 years spent as  the "enemy of the people" in prison and more than five years in a concentration camp. After his release, he said: "I thank God that He has forgiven my jailers."
Due to severe torture during his detention, Nguyen Huu Cau-is now deaf and almost blind. "In prison, I've gotten to know Christ and found to faith."

Prison camp Z30A K2 in the jungle

Cau was born in 1947. He served in the South Vietnamese army and became a captain. As such, he fought against the Communists of North Vietnam and the South Vietnamese Communists. When the Communists won in 1975, he was arrested and disappeared for several years in a concentration camp. In 1980 he was released from the camp, but in 1982 re-arrested because he had made hints on manuscripts of his poetry, that could have been criticism of the Communist regime.

From the Death Penalty to Life Imprisonment

In 1983 he was convicted of "sabotage" and damage to the reputation of the party and sentenced by the government as "an enemy of the people" to death. Later the sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. For 32 years   Cau had been in the prison camp Z30A K2  in the middle of the jungle. He wrote more than 500 letters  to the Communist regime and called for the resumption of his trial. He never received a response. On 22 March 2014 he was released from prison 39 years after his first arrest. The release was due to an amnesty granted by Vietnam's State President Truong Tan Sang because of the precarious health of Nguyen Huu Cau-.

The Hardest Rosary of the World

Cau prayed the Rosary "on the chain to which I was chained. It had 90 rings. I have made from the chain that took my freedom, my own personal rosary. From Father Joseph Nguyen Cong Doan, who was himself a prisoner, "I got to know the love of God. So I could even compose a song that is dedicated to the Holy Cross, which has carried me in an earthly captivity." Father Nguyen works today at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Jerusalem.

Forgiveness for His Tormentors

Before his conversion, Nguyen-Huu Cau kept his hatred against the Communist regime and against his tormentors alive. He hoped someday to be able to take revenge for what they did to him. Several times he thought at the time of suicide to escape captivity. "But the love of God and the Blessed Mother have changed me. I feel no hatred more for my tormentors. The Holy Trinity and Mary helped me to overcome my strife with my fate. Have prevented me from being killed  while in custody all these years. Argentine President Campaigns For Sodom as Godmother in Sacrilege

Edit: I just received an e-mail about Gloria.tv asking us to comment on this.  As usual, we can't say anything as well as Nardi.  Of course, there are two different cases.  The one reported by Gloria.tv is actually more shocking, although it  happened in 2012.

(Buenos Aires) Recently on the 17th of March,  Cristina Kirchner looked demonstratively in the direction of  Pope Francis, whom she had asked for an audience. On the 5th of April   the Argentine State President also demonstratively appealed as the godmother to the daughter of a lesbian whose aberrosexual lover also portrays herself as "Mother". The Argentine media has reported extensively on the action and  Kirchner's participation at the baptism of Umma Azul in the Cathedral of Cordoba.
Javier Klajner is youth minister and member of the Priestly Council in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. Tasks and offices which he already held, when Jorge Mario Bergoglio was Archbishop in the Argentine capital. Don Klajner defended the baptism for Vatican insider . Pope Francis was "always making sure   'that no child should be denied baptism,"  occurring completely independent of the situation of the parents. "He had exhorted the priests," says Klajner, to refuse no unmarried woman  the baptism of her child because the priest was  "not a manager". The Archdiocese of Cordoba has announced, says Klajner, that the baptism of "the daughter of Soledad Ortiz and Karina Villarroel like all other cases"  would be like any other. The baptism will be performed by  Carlos Varas.

Archdiocese: Baptism with Lesbian "Parents" Being Treated "Like Everyone Else"

The baptism has upset resistance against it. Critics see it as a media spectacle that will be utilized specifically for aberro-propaganda. It was not about the baptism, but the abuse of a sacrament for the socio-political struggle of the LGBT organizations. This was demonstrated by the fact that State President Kirchner is  the godmother to the child. In addition, the question of standing in the room, as the two women are living in open homosexuality,   want to raise the child as  a Christian. Whether the child was conceived through artificial insemination is speculation, say the critics, however,  it would be for the church leaders of importance to clarify the seriousness of the mother of Umma. The Catholic Critics accuse the Archdiocese of Cordoba,  of closing their  eyes to reality and  pretending that everything was fine. That instead of a man and a woman, two women will act as "parents", will simply be ignored.

No Confirmation for the Two "Mothers"

That there are serious doubts about the Catholic faith of the two women is confirmed even by the Archdiocese Cordoba.  Initially the   Argentine media reported  that the two women are also to simultaneously receive Confirmation with the baptism of the child. The reports have now been denied. Archbishop Nanez had given no such permission, let the Archdiocese know. Rosana Triunfetto from the Ordinary of the Archdiocese said: "The Sacrament of Confirmation was is not being conferred on the two mothers  yet as the Archbishop of Cordoba has not approved this. There may be doubt because the couple has not made truthful statements."

First "Gay Couple" of Cordoba

Karina Villarroel and Soledad Ortiz have been  "married" for a year. The controversial law legalizing "gay marriage", which prevailed, was made possible by   President Kirchner . The two women are among the better-known aberrosexual activists in Argentina. They were the first aberrosexual couple that has been received in the province of Cordoba, for a "gay marriage".
Critics of the homo-spectacle say that the refusal of a sacrament is a gross measure, which must be justified, but could be offered legitimately and is sometimes even mandatory. Because "It is far more serious to manipulate  the sacraments for political reasons." The sacraments are visible signs of God's grace and not a "performance for political objectives". This also applied to State President Kirchner.

"Had Bergoglio Not Become Pope, The Baptism Would Have Been  Much More Difficult"

Karina Villarroel meanwhile said the media that Archbishop Carlos Nanez have given instructions for a meeting and there are "no problems" there in the Cathedral. Umma Azul will  have a godfather and two godmothers, one of which is Argentina's President. "If Bergoglio would not have been elected Pope, the baptism would have been much more difficult," assures the lesbian. An assessment that, according to Vatican insider was shared by some Argentine church circles.
Is baptism a further confirmation that Pope Francis influenced the world with his statement about homosexuals in July of last yea  changed  the decisions of Catholics in favor of homosexuality, and indirectly justified it?

Signature Collection: No Abuse of a Sacrament for Homo-propaganda

There is a petition against the homo-baptismal event was in Argentina.  In the petition, Church leaders are asked to reject any attempt at political appropriation of a sacrament. There must be clarity, so the "wrong signals" can be avoided. This also included a wrong choice of words, as the name also of the lesbian lover of the child's mother as "mother". The petition is aimed officially at State President Kirchner, but goes especially to the Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina, the Swiss Archbishop Emil Paul Tscherrig, to the Archbishop of Buenos Aires and Primate of Argentina, Cardinal Mario Poli, to the Chairman of the Argentine Episcopal Conference, Archbishop Jose Maria Arancedo and to the Archbishop of Cordoba, Archbishop Carlos Jose Nanez.
The petition has already been signed by more than 5,600 Catholics ( the link to the petition ).

"Do You Want to be Like Jews and Christians?" -- Islamic Indoctrination in Libya

(Tripoli) Fathi Abdelmounaim, presenter at the TV station Al Manara describes what is being taught in the schools of Benghazi in eastern Libya today. In this part of the Mediterranean state, which was once ruled by Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi, the state is absent today. In practice control is by Islamist militias and clans. At the madrasas, imams teach  "extremist ideas" says Abdelmounaim.
The Imams "indoctrinate children in the rejection of democracy." Democracy was "only a subject for apostates," is how Abdelmounaim describes the situation.

Madrasas out of control

From the capital of Cyrenaica, the protest against Gaddafi went out. Today there is increasing, in particular, the number of radical Islamic preachers who come mostly other Muslim states to Libya. The reason for this influx  is the legal uncertainty. Wherever the state is weak, the Islamists dive in, as Abdul Nasser Ahmed, chairman of the Libyan Observatory  for Human Rights . "No one today controls the madrasas, because the state has no means to do so." The result was that all the "Islamic groups, whether extremist or moderate misuse the school for their ideology. In most cases it is an extremist, as those of Ansar al-Sharia," said Ahmed.
The terrorist group is blamed for the murder of the American ambassador in Libya Chris Stevens and three of his employees.

Indoctrination of Youth

The spread of Islamism in Cyrenaica is indirectly confirmed by Samia Mahmoud. He is formally charged with the inspection of the madrasa by the state. "Some indoctrinate young people with their ideas, which have nothing to do with Islam," said Mahmoud.
For Abdelmounaim the imams are spreading a "culture of hatred"  in Benghazi. They "say that the parliament consists of unbelievers, that one should not participate in elections because it is just a concern for apostates." The Islamists would say the young people, "Do you want to be like Jews and the Christians?", and accept democracy.

Extremist ideas

Libya is now a divided country. The state is too weak to really control the country, which is divided into its various parts and is controlled by different militias. Islamists thus find fertile ground.

Swiss University of Freiburg Introduces Course for Imam

(Fribourg),  University of Fribourg founded in 1889 in the Swiss canton of the same name was born of the desire of Swiss Catholics to have their own university in the Catholic Switzerland. Catholic predecessor institutions go back to the 16th Century. This Catholic oriented, though never officially Catholic University, plans to set up a course of study for Islamic Imams in next autumn.
The project is promoted mainly from the Egyptologist Antonio Loprieno, the Rector of the University of Basel and chairman of the Protestant Waldensian Church  of Basel. Loprieno chaired the multi-faith working group for further training  of imams and Islamic religious education teachers, which was established by the federal government. In an interview he said of the project: "The idea came from a dialogue which was conducted at the federal level for several years with the existing in Switzerland Islamic communities and organizations. It is an attempt to create a course that promotes on one hand the Integration of Muslims in the increasingly multi-cultural and Swiss society and on the other hand advancing a high quality theological debate on European Islam in general and Islam in particular the Swiss. "

Swiss Muslims 'Satisfied' - Paid for by the Taxpayer

Liked shows the Islamic community. According to a survey by the University of Zurich is a majority of Muslims living in Switzerland for a training of imams and Islamic religion teachers in Switzerland. Hicham Maizar, the person in charge of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Switzerland and chairman of the Swiss Religious Council said: "I am happy to note that a great step has been made. There are Muslims living in Switzerland for more than 50 years. We need to build bridges between them, society and the state authorities. We have established and shown that there can be Swiss and Muslims at the same time to dialogue  from the beginning. "
Hicham Maizar said that the cost of the participation of Muslims living in Switzerland  the cost is "unrealistic". The courses are financed therefore by the Swiss taxpayer, specifically by the Swiss Federal Government and the Canton of Fribourg. The long-term sponsorship is still unclear, as the rector of the University of Freiburg said. Discussions between the university and the federal government are underway.

Threat of Islamist Infiltration?

The project also sparked strong doubts and protests. First of all deputies of the Swiss People's Party (SVP) and the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland (CVP) of the Canton of Fribourg warn of potential hazards with Islamist infiltration. MEPs want with their initiative received the Christian character of the university. They have asked the Great Council of State of the Canton to dissuade the University from setting up the controversial courses. Antonio Loprieno is convinced, however, that the courses will be a sure success: "It is impossible that Islamism penetrates to the university, which has a strong liberal tradition." Freiburg Rector Guido Vergauwen sees in the project, however, a "chance"  to strengthen positioning of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Freiburg, "even as a location for interreligious dialogue."
In the Federal Republic of Germany comparable courses of study have been established recently at four locations. The background is an increasing penetration of Islamic religious instruction in public schools. The Swiss project approximately follows the German national project.

Has Cardinal Schönborn Left the Catholic Church in Pectore Already

In an interview with "Die Presse" journalist Nowak Cardinal Schönborn has replaced the cross by a seven-branched candle holder of the Jewish B'nai B'rith lodge.

Has the Archbishop of Vienna, Schoenborn "caught" the false confession?

The Cross

The Catholic Church has a strong sense of the setting of symbols, gestures and actions. In the Holy Mass, they stand pars pro toto , hints describe the whole, the unspoken. In particular, in the liturgy before its denaturing by the evil spirit of Vatican II, the individual acts and gestures have been thought important.
Not coincidentally  "simple" clerics (and certainly bishops and cardinals) attend the cross that is just perceptible in the public pictures of them, which is seen as a guide in the best sense of the word.

Schönborn's Seven-branched Candlestick of the Jewish B'nai B'rith lodge

Not so with Cardinal Schönborn: In a conversation with the editor of the Viennese daily "Die Presse" of 25 March 2014 for the ORF   “someone” had chosen as an image background something other than the expected cross, but a sparkling seven-branched candle holder.
The number seven, however, does not point out that it is seven spirits before the throne of God (Rev 1,4), rather it is here referring to the seven-branched candlestick, which the Archbishop, himself the son of a Freemason, received  as a "special appreciation" from the Jewish Loge B’nai Brith   in late October 2013.
“As luck would have it" Cardinal Schönborn wanted to curry favor even when "Press" editor in chief Nowak, who refused military service and had done instead performed civil service at the extreme left-wing "Documentation Archive of the Austrian Resistance”.  He's likely me much less brave representatives of the Church.

Schönborn: Christ had "deserved the death penalty ..."

The partisanship for Jewish interests is also evident in his essay "Judaism and Christianity" in "The Jewish Echo", Vol 46, pp. 15 ff here represents Cardinal Schönborn the right positivist view that it was "undeniable" that Christ has "by the applicable laws deserved the death penalty ... [for blasphemy] ."
Eminence, have your interpretation by then - in an analog to legal positivist thinking - maybe  the Jews had "earned"  the legal consequences of legal validity as subsisting in Nuremberg Race Laws  or here is perhaps  a logical fallacy on your part?

"Excessively" Evil Christians and the “Terrible" Question of Who is Christ

Cardinal Schönborn mentioned in this article, there was indeed a persecution of Christians by Jews, only they were "rewarded in abundance" by the Christians:
"The more it broke [the question of who Jesus was] from the outside in, booming, full of terror, spreading fear  and often death. In the memoirs of the rabbi's son David Tulman I read,” writes Cardinal Schönborn, that for his own - and for how many Jews over how many generations! - Good Friday was a terrible day. To him it came with pogroms, they were the 'murderers of God', who were the 'perfidious' Jews who crucified Jesus, who were persecuted by the riotous Christians."

Hands-on anti-Catholicism: "perfidious" instead of "faithless"?

The Archbishop of Vienna, used here not by chance the name, 'perfide Juden', mixing Latin with German and gives here the pejorative smell of perfidy to the  traditional Good Friday prayers for the conversion of the "perfidious Jews" ("Oremus et pro perfidis Judaeis") that just means something completely different than infidelity.

Weird - No Blessing by Christianity?

“It is not infrequently encountered  by Christians on the seriously flawed statement that Jesus proclaimed a loving Father God instead of the Old Testament God of wrath - a sign of how deeply the anti-Jewish furrows are dug in Christian soil,”  Cardinal Schönborn would have gone further.
The Archbishop of Vienna "dared" "the statement ..., Christianity is reminded by Judaism of its  order to be a bearer of blessings  for all peoples," and ". Anti-Judaism is therefore infidelity to God."
Only one must ask why the theocracy of Israel locks out  parts of the Muslim population on Jewish high holidays by the "blessing" of access restrictions.

The Holiness of the Liturgy and The Provisions of Pope Sixtus I

(Rome) The always valid ban on lay people getting too close to the holy things  and  touching the chalice and the sacred vessels, was officially enshrined in the earliest Christian times by the holy Pope Sixtus I (c. 115-125). The commemoration of this Pontiff is committed by the Church in the old and the new liturgical calendar on 3 April.  His Latin first name alludes to the number six. Sixtus was the sixth successor of the Apostle Peter and the seventh Vicar of Christ on earth. The son of a Roman priest and shepherd was elected by the clergy of Rome on 115  to the bishop.
The need to explicitly codify the prohibition resulted from  attempts by the unworthy to approach  holy things, which are exclusively reserved for the priests of God. The sacredness of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass resulted in the Latin Church, as in the apostolic Eastern Church, to largely obscure services from the sight of outsiders, but also of the faithful. Non-baptized persons were not allowed to enter the houses of worship during the Holy Mass. The Sacrifice of the Mass took place in the West behind a curtain and takes place in the East today behind the iconostasis for the protection of the Holy.

Penetration of the Laity in the Presbytery

It was not until the revolution of the zealots of the liturgical reform, which came after the Second Vatican Council and the subsequent liturgical abuses,  meant that the laity invaded to the restricted area of the presbyterium   during the Holy Mass,  the Sanctum Sanctorum, which - as the name presbyter = Priest - expresses, is reserved to the celebrant and the altar servants. In many places the laity are instructed to hand out Holy Communion, so that they take not only the Holy vessels, but also the consecrated Hosts in the hand.
At the time of Pope Sixtus I the emperor Hadrian (117-138) ruled, an original philosopher on the throne, a lover of Greek culture and art. Although heathen, he declined the persecution of Christians. To one of his proconsuls in Africa, he wrote: "If someone brings charges and can prove that the Christians who commit offenses against the laws are guilty, leave, then punish them for their crimes. By Hercules, yet  if someone is just looking for a mere pretext to punish them, then you have to decide depending on the severity and punish them instead."

    Seal of Christian Liturgical Tradition

Pope Sixtus  put particular emphasis on the faithful preservation and development of the cultus. He summed up the current practice together with provisions that were to be a seal for the Christian liturgical tradition. It was also a big concern for him that all the Christian communities themselves remained in contact, because, as it seems it  had already come to pass during his pontificate,  because  the exact date of the Easter celebrations became the first disagreement between East and West.
Christian tradition also owes Sixtus I for the hymn of the Trisagion,  which was dedicated of the divine Trinity triple Sanctus. The expression of Greek Trisagion hagios (holy) and treis (three) means the thrice-holy God. Already in the Old Testament we find this definition of the Holy Trinity. The thrice Holy Prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament corresponds to the naming of the three divine persons in the New Covenant as saying: Holy is God the Father, God is holy son, holy God is the Holy Spirit. In order to acquire this knowledge independently, you had to be able to read and know well the Scriptures  and thus belong to the circle of educated people. To make this praise of the Trinity accessible to all believers, Pope Sixtus introduced the thrice praise into worship in the Holy Mass just before the Consecration and Transubstantiation.

Trisagion, the Thrice Holy in the Old and New Testaments

All apostolic churches regardless of rite know this Trisagion, the angels singing, which Isaiah heard, when he had his vision of heaven. The well after him, it was described by St. John the Apostle and Evangelist in the Apocalypse (4:8).
Dom Prosper Guéranger (1805-1875), the famous Benedictine Abbot of Solesmes said: "What do the angels sing?Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth . They celebrate the holiness of God. But how do they celebrate? In a perfect way: they use the superlative, in which they call three times that God is really holy. (...) But why did they turn to God three times with the determination of holiness? Because holiness is the most important of divine perfection: God in his essence is holy. "

"God is as Strong as Holy and as Sacred as Strong"

The Trisagion we also find in the Te Deum : " Tibi Cherubim et Seraphim incessabili voce proclamant: Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth "(Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts). The hosts in the service of the Almighty have nothing to fear, as all wars, tests and hurdles running by their God have ended in triumph. Dom Guéranger wrote: "God is holy and strong, as strong as holy and as sacred as strong."
This Roman Pope whose holiness is sung in Catholic Christendom to this day, died not as a martyr, although he is occasionally. His grave is awaiting the resurrection of the body, is not near the grave of St. Peter in the Vatican, but in the Cathedral of St. Paul in Alatri in Rome, where he is revered as a patron saint.

Horror Missae --- Discuss the Sermon in Church

(Rome) Liturgy Free Day worship instead of Holy Mass, instead of confession, general absolution. The  abuse as sham knows many forms of expression. Even the sermon was not exempt. A pastor invented as the latest novelty for Lent a "sermon in dialogue”. He moved the sermon to the very end of  Holy Mass and opened to the faithful, to replicate in the church on his sermon, discuss and express their opinion.
What  a sermon is,  is clearly defined in the ecclesiastical regulations. In the introduction to the Missale Romanum  it states in paragraph 65:
The homily is part of the Liturgy and is strongly recommended: For it is necessary to nourish the Christian life. You should present a point of view from the readings of Sacred Scripture or of another text of the Ordinary or the Proper of the Mass of the day - taking account of the Mystery that is celebrated and the particular needs of the listeners.
The conciliar Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium says of the sermon in point 52:
By means of the homily the mysteries of the faith and the guiding principles of the Christian life are expounded from the sacred text, during the course of the liturgical year; the homily, therefore, is to be highly esteemed as part of the liturgy itself; in fact, at those Masses which are celebrated with the assistance of the people on Sundays and feasts of obligation, it should not be omitted except for a serious reason.
So there it is neither a speech nor a talk show and not a discussion board. In the introduction to the Missal states in paragraph 66:
In general, the priest-celebrant has perform the homily, or it is transferred to a priest concelebrating with him (...) but never a layperson. In specific cases and for a just cause, the homily may even be given by the bishop or by a priest, taking part in the celebration, without being able to concelebrate.

Prohibition of Lay Preaching in Holy Mass for Pastoral Interior

A clarification will be given with reference to Canon 767 Canon Law, which  establishes:
The most important form of preaching is the homily, which is part of the liturgy, and is reserved to a priest or deacon. In the course of the liturgical year, the mysteries of faith and the rules of christian living are to be expounded in the homily from the sacred text.
A ruling, which is found in Article 3 in the Instruction regarding Questions of the Collaboration with the Laity in Functions of the Priest in 1997 is found:

The homily is as an outstanding form of preaching, " qua per anni liturgici Cursum ex textu sacro fidei mysteria et Normae vitae christianae exponuntur ", part of the Liturgy itself.
Therefore, the homily must be during the Eucharist the sacred ministers, priests, and deacons, are reserved. Excluded are lay people, even if they fulfill tasks as "pastoral assistants" or catechists in whatever groups or associations. The issue is not about a possibly better gift presentation or a larger theological knowledge, but rather that of a reserved task, which was equipped with the sacrament of Holy Orders. Therefore, not even the diocesan bishop authorized to dispense from the norm of canon. It is in fact not a merely disciplinary available, but a law that deals with the tasks of teaching and sanctifying, which are mutually closely connected.

If the pastor does not want to preach or may not preach

A look at the documents shows that the statements on the subject are clear and binding. However, this increases the abuse. There are parishes where the pastoral assistant preaches because the pastor thinks this is a "good”  and for "variety". There are also parishes where the pastor may not preach, because the "pastoral team” distributes the ministry  and the pastor appears in the rotation process  only when he is  scheduled. There are parishes where the Protestant pastor preaches in terms of an "ecumenical preaching exchange" in the Catholic Mass. And there are parishes where  instead of preaching a dance or a development project is presented. The "market opportunities", can allow the imagination wide berth.  All these forms have in common that they are not allowed, and thus represent a liturgical abuse.

Reply to the  Preaching, Give Opinion, Discuss

A parish priest of San Carlo Borromeo of Pognano in the home diocese of John XXIII had a new idea.   During Lent, he offers his faithful in the Sunday Mass as a “novelty", the ability to respond in the church on his sermon. The faithful can ask him questions in the church or speak their minds. The whole thing is called "sermon in dialogue".  It supposed, as it is described in the parish sheet, to be a response to the general criticism that the priest is talking from the ambo, "to answer without that, the believers have the opportunity to respond and to argue." Therefore, the priest in the parish journal wrote, "I am celebrating the Mass, closing with the homily from and openning  up the debate.” He put the Sermon arbitrarily at the end of the Eucharistic celebration.
The initiative was singled out for praise in a recent issue of Famiglia Christina, the largest Catholic weekly magazine in the country.

Rorate Confirms Apostolic Visitation of FSSP: Bishop Bruskewitz Leads

Edit: as we’d reported below, there will be a Visitation.  Looks like friendly forces so far, possibly just a social call and nothing more.
The recently mentioned Ordinary Apostolic Visitation of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) is, as its name indicates, a routine measure determined by the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei (PCED).
The first news item of the visitation was posted by the FSSP themselves (see here) only with the name of the principal visitator. Rorate can now confirm that the visitation is indeed happening, and the officials are:
Bishop Vitus Huonder, of Chur/Coire (Switzerland), Principal Visitor (Wigratzbad)
Dom Hervé Courau, O.S.B., Father Abbot of Notre-Dame de Triors (France), Co-Visitor (Wigratzbad)
Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, Bishop Emeritus of Lincoln, (United States)
