Cardinal Müller: US Rebel Sisters Have Lost Their Identity -- More Women in the International Theology Commission

(Rome) The Prefect of the CDF, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, contrary to what is   widespread  of certain circles in the United States in connection with the rebellious nuns of the LCWR, that the Roman Curia is misogynistic. "We are not misogynist!" The cardinal said in a conversation with the woman's section of the Osservatore Romano . It is a matter, the rebellious nuns "to help them rediscover their identity." Cardinal Müller also announced that at the request of Pope Francis, the number of women in the International Theological Commission will rise "from two to five or six".
Since May 2012  a monthly supplement appears in the main Italian edition of Osservatore Romano   Women, Church, World . In the latest issue a conversation on  1 September  took place with Prefect Cardinal Müller. The former Bishop of Regensburg announced that the proportion of female members of the International Theological Commission shall tripled. This was the wish of Pope Francis, the Cardinal said in an interview with the responsible editor of the women's supplement, the historian Lucetta Scaraffia.
The International Theological Commission is one of the "young" institutions of the Catholic Church. It was established in 1969 by Pope Paul VI., as a result of the first Synod of Bishops, which took place in the fall of 1967. The task of the 30 strong Commissio Internationalis Theologica (CTI) is to "assist in the investigation of doctrinal issues that are of greater importance" to the Church's Magisterium, particularly the CDF. Therefore, it has been presided  the Prefect of the CDF  Cardinal Müller, since 2012.  Since 2011, it's Secretary-General has been  the French Dominican Father Serge-Thomas Bonino.

Increasing Share of Women in Theological Commission to "Five or Six"

The members are appointed by the pope for five years. The 8th Quinquennium ending in 2013 to be reappointed by Pope Francis has not yet occurred. The period 2009-2013  had  two female members. It is the German Domgatic Theologian and Professor at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, Barbara Hallensleben, and the American nun and professor at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake (Mundelein Seminary) of Chicago, Sr. Sara Butler.   Sister Butler belongs to the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity (MSBT), an American woman religious order which was recognized by the Holy See in 1932, but  whose origins already   go back to the year 1909. She teaches Christology, Sacramentology, Christian Anthropology  and Mariology in Chicago.
The appointment of the members of the 9th Quinquennium of the International Theological Commission by Pope Francis is imminent, as Scaraffia has reported. She only addressed Cardinal Müller indirectly at  this point : "He assured me the newly anticipated International Theological Commission, which is to be appointed by the Pope soon, will have a higher proportion of women than the outgoing: It seems to me as I understand that they will increase the number from two to five or six."

Accept Women in Their Character, Not as an Imitation of Men

The cardinal stressed importance of women in the Church and that they are to be recognized in their individuality in the Church, not in imitation of the male model. The Cardinal made a special point to emphasize that the Church is "mother" and must not be an institution because an institution could not love you, but a mother can love.
The Prefect also spoke to Scaraffia  about the American rebels,  Sisters of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). He himself had overseen  "complex negotiations" recently. Above all is to remember that it is "not all American women religious" who are  the rebellious nuns, but a group of religious women in North America who have partnered in the LCWR. The CDF had received "many letters" from other sisters that belong to the same Order, "but on the direction" of the rebel sisters are very disappointed and "deeply grieved".

Loss of Identity: Rebel Sisters Have "No More Vocations"

"Serious doctrinal problems" have reigned for years among the rebellious nuns of the LCWR  in the field of Catholic doctrine, Church discipline, liturgy, morality, right to life, homosexuality and gender ideology. Cardinal Müller  recalled in this connection: "In addition, these orders have no more vocations. You run the risk of disappearing. We have especially tried to build less conflictual relations and reduce tensions, thanks to Bishop Sartain," leading the talks on behalf of the CDF and is "a very gentle man," says  the Cardinal. The general aim was clear to the rebels sisters that "we are not hostile to women and do not want to eat a woman every day!  Without a doubt we have different understandings of religious life. We hope to help them rediscover their identity," Cardinal Müller.

Undead Female “Religious" Hope for an Indulgent Pope to Aid Their Evil Deeds

Edit: someone has to cause an intervention to address these religious’ issues with addiction, anger, Marxism and sexism. They are clearly in denial about their hatred for the Church and God.

(New York) America's rebellious sisters see a glimmer of hope. At least, they have launched a trial to test whether the new pope takes the rod back from the wall which Pope Benedict XVI had used against them. They are hoping for the "mercy" of Pope Francis, but an act of humility and obedience is completely missing. The sisters have softened but have not budged from their disobedience.

For the new Pope the proud sisters have instead compiled a long list of demands and also the same judgement on the Church and the papacy of Benedict XVI. They "hope with many,” for "another reception and treatment" in the Church, not be be "2nd Class” any longer. The list has called for another “investigation", extends to the remarried divorcees, in whose ranks is to be found also a sister of the Pope, to the homosexual, by modernist theologians up to the rebel priests and of course last but not certainly not least, themselves, the rebel sisters of women religious umbrella organization LCWR, who the Pope has placed in 2012 under provisional administration.

After an apostolic visitation, the Vatican stated that the companies belonging to the LCWR, the U.S. women religious pursued to varying degrees, feminist, esoteric and humanitarian goals that had wandered far from the Catholic doctrine. Their commitment to the "weakest" is partly so selective that on behalf of the "right" of women to abortion they will defend abortion advocates and demonstrate against Pro-lifers.

The rebels believe "hope” to be allowed among other things, because the new pope himself comes from a order. From the mouth of one of the ringleaders, Sr. Nancy Sylvester of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, Michigan (the sisters have their long ago lost their habit) it sounds like this: "I'm really confident about what he [Pope Francis] has already done and for his entire resume: he is a Pope with experience in line with the religious world." Sr. Simone Campbell, who is known for her speech at the convention of the Democratic Party in the 2012, where the candidacy of Barack Obama has been decided, said generously: "The world has great thirst for a spiritual guide, a 'real' spiritual leader, and I hope that the new pope is really this and not managed by internal political struggles, our business is based there and that is not a question of faith.”

It’s quite different from the view of the American bishops. The chairman of the committee responsible, Archbishop Peter Sartain of Seattle, said in a press conference that they have no reason to believe that anything will change under the new Pope to the position of the Holy See over the breakaway sisters.

The break goes deep through the Church in the United States. The urge to see the Church as a better humanitarian association with some ethical premises, is widely used in progressive circles. The reason Archbishop Sartain sees in this particular pressure is to avoid questions of doctrine or only selectively appeal to them, in order to avoid even the question of concrete consequences.

Cardinal Rodé Exonerated by Paternity Test

At the end of August it was still maintained that the Slovenian-German Peter Stelzer was still the son of a Curial Cardinal.

(kreuz.net) The Slovenian Curial Cardinal Franc Rodé (78) is not the father of Peter Stelzer (42), residing in Germany. This was reported on the website of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference yesterday.

It was jubilantly reported at the end of August in Germany that a Cardinal had a child with a living Slovenian woman.

The powerful media bosses in their bitter hatred of the Church, took this opportunity to besmirch the Church.

Yesterday, it came to light

A DNA test from the Institute for Legal Medicine at the University of Munich proved that the Cardinal is not the originator of the German Peter Stelzer.

This was according to an attorney for the Cardinal, Nina Zidar Klemencic, on Tuesday in Laibach.

The defamation is said to have injured the slandered Cardinal.

The Journalist has to pay

The slander was spread by an article in the Slovenian scandal sheet 'Delo'.

Stelzer's mother had clearly been involved with so many different men, that she didn't remember who the father of her son was in order to establish the paternity of her son at all.

According to reports from the District Attorney, Stelzer has been forgiven by Cardinal Rodé.

Now the Cardinal will sue the author of the slanderous article.

Luxury Bus Nun "Uncomfortable" With Catholicism

No Habit, No Faith

Edit:  We reported earlier on a group of nuns who were wasting a lot of money to campaign for Democrats, using money for their luxury bus that could have been used to feed the poor.

Despite protesting that their reputation for being less than Catholic, and have “have opted for ways that take them outside communion with Christ in the Catholic Church,” as Cardinal Rode said, these nuns continue to confirm everything they are accused of. Not only is this nun pro-abortion, but she's "uncomfortable" with being Catholic, and the Devil hates holy water too.
Sister Campbell, who revealed in a June talk that she is uncomfortable calling herself pro-life, also said that her support of President Barack Obama’s healthcare program is part of her “pro-life stance.”
“We all share responsibility to ensure that this vital health care reform law is properly implemented and that all governors expand Medicaid coverage,” she said. “This is part of my pro-life stance and the right thing to do.”
Sister Campbell attracted national media attention early this summer when she organized a “Nuns on the Bus” tour to protest the Ryan budget plan. She and the Network lobby have been prominent in their support of liberal social programs, including the Obama administration's health-care reform. In June, a Charlotte newspaper reported that in an appearance there Sister Campbell had "scorned the US bishops for their continued opposition to the health insurance law."

Cardinal Rode Accused of Fathering Child

Cardinal Franc Rodé Gave in 2010 Priestly Ordinations in Old Rite
© Fr James Bradley, Flickr, CC
Edit:  Cardinal Rode was retired earlier this year at the age of 77. This untimely retirement raised some questions about the contiguity of the investigation of women religious and whether or not it would lose some of its rigor.  Unfortunately, there seems to have been some reason after all why the Cardinal was not allowed to finished his important task. We earlier said in January:

Yet despite saying what most people already know, and for no apparent reason, the investigation of women religious was rendered toothless when Cardinal Rode was retired from the position after rendering his own conclusion that the religious “simply acquiesced to the disappearance of religious life or at least of their community,” while others “have opted for ways that take them outside communion with Christ in the Catholic Church.”

The Cardinal is also a friend of Tradition.

An update on kreuz.net reads that the Cardinal is now demanding a paternity test to clear his name.  The tests will be conducted at an independent institute in Maribor, Slovenia.

"I denounce these statements that I have violated my priestly celibacy and had a son."

(kreuz.net)  The Emeritus Prefect of the Congregation for Religious  Franc Cardinal Rode (77) is said to be the alleged father of a 42 year old son.

This is being reported by the Slovenian daily 'Delo'.

An Alleged Relationship

The child is allegedly the result of a relationship with the then 18 year old Tanja Breda.

The Cardinal was at that time a 35 year old theology professor in Ljubljana.

The relationship is supposed to have taken place in 1969.

An easy girl

The today sixty year old woman described a relationship with the Cardinal to journalists.

At the same time she explained, that she is not sure that her son Peter S. really came from him.

The woman is completely uncertain according to 'Delo":  "I don't know exactly if the Cardinal is the father of my son Peter, I can't recall exactly who the father is, although they both have the same nose and the same eyes."

Landed in Germany

Still during the pregnancy the little darling wandered to Germany.

It was there that her son came into the world in 1970.

Later she married a German who adopted the child.

A son searching for his father

The alleged son of the Cardinal lives today in a country in the Near East.

On the search for his father he had written several times to the Cardinal and also to the Vatican to ask for a dna-test.

Yet he received no answer.

Then he consulted a Slovenian attorney, in order to take legal action.

Categorically Denounced
Cardinal Rode has categorically denounced the accusations on a website of the Slovenian Bishops Conference.

"The article relies on voices and anonymous sources and is a serious attack on my name and my reputation."

He expressly declared:  "I denounce these assertions that I have violated my priestly celibacy and had a son."

Many Contradictions

The Cardinal explained that he had never received a request to establish paternity.

He had met Tanja Breda in the past, but never had a relationship with her.

In the beginning of May the Vatican suspended the Old Liberal Emeritus Archbishop Alojz Uran (67) of Ljubljana who was retired in November of 2009.

He is definitely the father of several children.

On the order of the Vatican, he left Slovenia and lives in the north Italian city of Trieste.

Pope's Angelus Address: Comparing Judas to LCWR?

Edit: who could he be referring to in this passage?  He describes the Bread of Life narrative as many of His disciples follow him no more because they did not understand what he said accept in a "material sense",  few remain behind, for, as St. Peter affirms, "thou hast the words of eternal life".   There was another, easily comparable to certain parties within the Church today, who were less sincere than those who didn't believe and left and those who believed and stayed.

There was one who stayed and did not believe, like the LCWR nuns.  It's difficult not to see in their refusal to be sincere "the mark of the devil":

Finally, Jesus knew that even among the twelve apostles there was one that did not believe: Judas. Judas could have left, as many of the disciples did; indeed, he would have left if he were honest. Instead he remained with Jesus. He did not remain because of faith, or because of love, but with the secret intention of taking vengeance on the Master. Why? Because Judas felt betrayed by Jesus, and decided that he in turn would betray Him. Judas was a Zealot, and wanted a triumphant Messiah, who would lead a revolt against the Romans. But Jesus had disappointed those expectations. The problem is that Judas did not go away, and his most serious fault was falsehood, which is the mark of the devil. This is why Jesus said to the Twelve: “One of you is a devil” (John 6.70). We pray to the Virgin Mary, help us to believe in Jesus, as St. Peter did, and to always be sincere with Him and with all people.

LCWR Nuns Ride Luxury Bus to Defend Poor!

Edit: Perhaps it's all about self-interest that the nuns are now campaigning more than ever on behalf of the Democratic Party. Catholic Charities receive substantial subsidies from the Federal and State governments, so understandably, they're concerned about it. But this government support comes at the price of Orthodoxy.

But never mind the Orthodoxy, these nuns are worried about their position. In a bid to ride the crest of the wave they feel they've surmounted with the current Rome investigation taking place where they are under the gun for their Feminism, Marxism and anti-Catholicism, these intrepid warriors are trying to stay in the limelight. These LCWR nuns took the fight to the people last month at the end of June to the 2nd of July, as they mixed their religion with politics and got aboard an enormous luxury bus tour to Washington D.C. over 2,700 miles (at 7 miles to the gallon) where they aired their support for the Democratic Party, which they felt was violated by Representative Ryan's budget proposals, as it was reported in the Washington Post. The nuns complained:
Ryan’s budget “rejects church teaching about solidarity, inequality, the choice for the poor, and the common good. That’s wrong,” said Campbell, executive director of Network, a Catholic social justice lobby.

This new found love for the authority of Church teachings is matched only by the exuberance of the group led by Sister Simone Campbell, and the price tag, as they climbed aboard their mega-bus which must have cost at least $100,000 for a used model of this vintage, but often go for much higher, as much as $1,000,000, complete with graphics on the side which run into the high end about $20,000. Sure, when you think of such a counter-cultural effort, you think of hippies, or Paul Wellstone's groovy bus, for example.

But what you're getting is something much more luxurious and spacious. The nuns deserve it after all, since they're campaigning for the poor. You know, they might not care about being Orthodox, but they go forth into the market with a luxury bus, laying in on the the horn when they give alms. This bus must have a large cooler where the nuns can store their falafel sandwiches, their organic cheese and tofu pronto pups. You can't be an activist on an empty stomach after all. But the bus actually looks like this.

While the bus doesn't get very good gas mileage, surely the poor appreciate all of the campaigning on their behalf by the dissident nuns, who it is claimed by the Post, are being "greeted as rock stars wherever they go." Surely, such a large carbon footprint will yield some good political points for the Democratic party, whose policies are openly antagonistic to Catholics. Surely the damage to the environment, and the luxurious bus with its high-end graphics could have been better spent on the poor?

The nuns traveled over 9 days and 2,700 miles, to speak out about their message of keeping taxes high to take care of poor families who they insist need their help, but did anyone ask these LCWR nuns if the price of the bus or what the cost to the Catholic Church's credibility would be?

LCWR Consults Alleged Sexual Predator

Edit: Dan Ward was associated with Collegeville for many years and has four credible accusations against him.

It's pathetic and more than a little evil that they can attack the Vatican for what they allege is its complicity in child abuse, and they can't be bothered to do a back ground check on one of their top consultants.

[Pine Curtain] According to the LCWR’s April 2012 newsletter, there has been a “precipitous decline in the number of religious.”
One solution, in an effort to restore the credibility of religious communities, must be to remove from positions of authority those who remain in those positions despite 1) credible allegations of sexual misconduct and/or 2) their role in the cover up of credible allegations sexual misconduct by others.
The number of religious who left because they were targeted sexually — or refused to cooperate with a deceptive leadership — makes up a large percentage of this self-inflicted “decline” in the number of religious.
According to the LCWR’s April newsletter:
“… Janice Bader, CPPS, executive director of the National Religious Retirement Office (NRRO), and Dan Ward, OSB, executive director of RCRI, attended the joint meeting and shared current data on religious institutes in the United States. The data show a precipitous decline in the number of religious in compensated ministry, an increase in the average age of those serving in leadership, the number of institutes that will run out of funds within the next five to 10 years, and the growing complexity of the decisions that institutes are now facing. Both NRRO and RCRI are looking at options for what US religious life may need to do in order to have a viable future and are exploring how religious may help define what the next chapter of religious life may look like.”
Rev Dan Ward, OSB is executive director of the Resource Center for Religious Institutes (“RCRI”). He should have no involvement in “defining what the next chapter of religious life may look like.” RCRI shares a building on Cameron Street in Silver Spring, Maryland, with the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), the Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) and the Religious Formation Conference (“RFC”).

Energetic Female Religious Running Out of the Church

Detroit — Nuns from Michigan and throughout the nation are assembling in St. Louis this week to prepare their response to a Vatican crackdown that criticized their loyalty and accused them of "radical feminism." This spring, the Vatican ordered a review of the umbrella group of the nation's 55,000 nuns, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, claiming the sisters had gone rogue, focusing on social justice issues and neglecting church teachings on subjects including contraception, abortion and homosexuality. The rift, which has sparked a split among the faithful and a wave of sympathy for the nuns, is being felt in Metro Detroit.

US Women Religious Still in Denial

Edit: "I'm not a feminist", she cried, despite the full length poster behind her advertising NOW and the autographed photo of Gloria Steinem. This is a fanciful portrayal of a spokesman today who insists that US Women Religious, amazingly, that they're being unfairly treated.  It's just this kind of response that demonstrates a profound absence of humility in the face of adult supervision and portrays a breathtaking ability to ignore the facts and deny them show that this spokeswoman, and the women she claims to represent are delusional.

In light of the demographic, doctrinal and moral collapse of women religious, it's difficult to understand how they expect people to believe them.

They probably expect that public opinion will still remember them when they used to wear their habits, tirelessly instruct young children and told their prayers on a rosary rather than sitting in the lotus position in a Buddhist temple somewhere.

Whether you're talking about Obamacare nuns and the six-figure salary Sister Keehan, or you're talking about the more garden variety type of nun who resides in various parts of the United States with only an obscure cross-shaped item prominently hanging around her bent neck.

These women religious are defiant and convinced that their manifest departure from Catholic belief and practice is acceptable.  They're defiant even when they're caught red handed, as was one nun of the Dominican order called the Sinsinaua.  They only apologized after tremendous public outcry, but a trip to their web site shows little improvement and a worldly left of center, 1968 feel that reminds one more of elderly hippies trying to relive their heyday than a legitimate religious association.  It's a good thing they don't like the Latin Mass and wear traditional habits.
Sister Donna Quinn
Assisting in the Slaughter at
Abortuary
Here's what the anti-Catholic Washington Post had to say:

Leaders representing most American nuns pushed back on Friday against a stinging Vatican report that was issued in April and called for their “reform.”

After a special meeting this week in Washington, the 21-member board of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious issued a statement calling the Vatican report “unsubstantiated “ and saying it has “caused scandal and pain” and exacerbated polarization throughout the Catholic church community.

The board of the conference, whose members represent the vast majority of the 57,000 nuns in the United States, met for three days to consider how to respond to the Vatican report accusing the group of “radical feminism” and of publicly undermining the leadership of the bishops.
The thing about this is that despite being smaller in number, male religious are an even more serious problem and will be no less defiant and in denial than these recalcitrant women are.
